Justice Support Services
Dec 9, 2016
Justice Support Services provide support and advocacy to individuals involved in the criminal justice system who experience mental health, addictions and/or developmental disorders. This service is offered at all of our sites.
Court Outreach
The Court Outreach component provides advocacy, and support to individuals (youth and adults) presently involved or at risk of being involved in the court system. Court Outreach works closely with other partners in the criminal justice system to divert individuals meeting criteria from the judicial system and into appropriate supports and services.
Intensive Case Management
Intensive Case Management provides support to individuals that come into conflict with the criminal justice system, and require support to reduce the risk of further criminal arrest and remain independent in the community. The Justice case manager works with clients to develop and work towards their identified goals. This includes:
- individualized assessment and planning;
- service co-ordination (linking people with services and supports);
- systems advocacy/resource co-ordination.
Release from Custody
This service provides short term, intensive case management support to individuals who are presently incarcerated or in the process of being released from custody. Services are offered to facilitate a smooth transition back to the community, reduce recidivism, and enable a recovery-focused lifestyle.
